2024 SEASON

WELCOME to our 2024 Season
​
Well! here we are again, only '5 minutes' have passed and we are at the start of a new season. As with the way of things changes, are taking place, some committee members are standing down (we offer them our sincerest thanks for their unstinting service over the years), new members will be stepping forward to join the committee. Elections will take place at the AGM, it is not too late to put yourself or someone else forward. (If you wish to nominate someone for election please check first that they are happy to stand).

Over the years we have tried to move forward and embrace technology. We have increasingly used emails, texts to make contact and keep you up-to-date with information. This year we are taking the next step and reducing the amount of paper we distribute. We will email as much information as possible but also ensure we have some paper copies for anyone who has difficulty accessing / downloading anything. It becomes very important that you keep us up-to-date with your contact details so that you do not miss out on anything.

Bowling times for this season - Sunday 10.00am 'til 12.00pm,
Monday and Thursday 2.00pm 'til 4.00pm,
Tuesday 10.30am.'till 11.30am,
Friday 4.00pm 'till 6.00pm.
Members can bowl as they wish but must be mindful of competition bowlers as their matches take priority.

There will be a 'coffee morning' session following the Tuesday bowling session starting at 11.30am. Everyone is welcome

New Members
​
We are a warm and friendly club who will be delighted to welcome new members. Experience is neither necessary nor essential, the only requirement is enthusiasm .
To find us just look for Walsall Cricket Club, we are based on the same ground (in Gorway Road), just to the left of the car park. We have been here for over 45 years. Although small, we pride ourselves on our active fixture list we have many home and away friendly matches per season and 8 'in-house' tournaments and 6 competitions which extend throughout the season.
During the year we gather together for various trips and activities, including skittles evenings, fun bowls sessions, indoor bowls sessions, quiz evenings, fish and chip suppers, Christmas activities and many more.
During the season the members endeavour to raise extra funds for the club with raffles, book and jigsaw sales and fortnightly quiz sheets.
